Occupational Therapy

Assessment entails completing screening tasks to find out the areas requiring further assessment.

Assessment includes an interview with client, parent or teacher. Completion of tasks and activities. Standardized assessment tools to compare against current abilities.

From there, planning of the assessment report and planning of treatment intervention is completed. 

Intervention aims to address the challenges or problem areas that were found in the assessment.

Collaboration between client, parent, teachers and Occupational Therapist is important in order to succeed in the goals of therapy. Team work is a necessity.

Collaboration with the community on community projects and ideas to allow for opportunities of empowerment for clients, caregivers and parents
